Job Title: Gas & Chemical Technician (Megasys Technician)
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Santa Clara site support)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (PST)
Pay Rate: $27/hr to $29/hr on W2(Inclusive all)
Employment Type: Contract (Long-term)
Overtime: Possible
Role Overview
Client is seeking a Gas & Chemical Technician to support and maintain gas and chemical distribution systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role involves working across multiple facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of critical equipment used in wafer fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems across multiple buildings
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and decommissioning of gas and chemical equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) and ensure system reliability
- Execute cylinder and drum change-outs for gas and chemical systems
- Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues across various vendor systems
- Ensure compliance with operating procedures, safety standards, and quality protocols
- Write, edit, and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support emergency response activities related to gas/chemical systems
- Collaborate with project teams on new installations and system upgrades
- Maintain a zero safety and quality incident culture
Equipment & Systems Exposure
- Gas delivery systems
- Chemical delivery systems and slurry systems (Fuji systems)
- Semiconductor wafer fabrication support equipment
- Large-scale distribution systems (2000+ equipment units across multiple facilities)
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with gas or chemical systems in wafer fabrication (semiconductor environment)
- Strong knowledge of equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
- Experience with preventative maintenance and safety procedures
- Ability to perform cylinder/drum change-outs safely
- Understanding of emergency response protocols
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience working with semiconductor gas/chemical delivery systems
- Familiarity with quality management systems and SOP documentation
- Ability to train or mentor junior technicians
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
