We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) team. In this role, you’ll provide specialized care to adults in a 24-hour crisis stabilization setting that serves as a medically necessary, less restrictive, and voluntary alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.
The CCS unit offers individuals access to our newly renovated 10 on-site beds during times of crisis where the length of stay is generally 3 to 5 days but is flexible to meet individual needs. As a per diem staff member, you will pick up shifts to cover vacations, leaves of absence, last-minute callouts, or other staffing gaps, including vacant shifts.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitoring and Documenting medication self administration during clients’ stay
- Monitoring client physical medical issues and working with direct care staff to arrange for acute medical care for clients when needed
- Facilitating health and wellness groups and activities
- Delivering treatment interventions that are strength based and solution-focused
- Encouraging consumer completed risk management/safety plans and Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP)
- Completing documentation per shift as assigned
- Participating in ongoing required training
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma/Associates/or Bachelor’s degree)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) must be licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration
- Reliable and independent problem-solver with the ability to work with minimal supervision when necessary
- Capacity to provide support and quality care to improve the physical and mental health of individuals served.
- One-year experience in an acute mental health and/or dual diagnosis setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with Recovery oriented treatment for severe mental illness (preferred)
LPN shift differentials for the Stabilization Unit position are:
- 7a – 11p (Sat & Sun only) = Base + $1.00
- 11p – 7a (ANY day of the week) = Base + $2.00
- 3-11pm (Monday through Friday) = Base + $1.00
Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses. Annual ranges listed are based on a full-time, 40 hours per week position.
