Environmental Engineer:
Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and maintains thorough documentation and records of compliance activities and incidents, working under general supervision. The role conducts safety observations, job safety analyses, and site assessments, while providing technical expertise for developing EHS programs aligned with industry standards.
Your role:
Ensures compliance with all local, state, federal, and ISO 14001/45001 Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations by maintaining accurate documentation, records, audits, investigations, and timely regulatory reporting.
Conducts safety observations, job safety analyses, site assessments, environmental monitoring (air, water, soil), and internal EHS audits to identify risks, determine root causes, and promptly communicate significant findings to leadership.
Provides technical expertise to develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs and initiatives (e.g., PPE, waste reduction, recycling, energy conservation, environmental technology, sustainability) aligned with organizational and industry standards.
Monitors EHS KPIs and prepares management reviews and summary reports highlighting performance, trends, risks, environmental aspects, and recommended corrective and preventive actions.
Supports employee training, emergency and crisis management, incident response, and fosters effective internal and external stakeholder relationships to enhance workplace safety, employee well-being, and environmental performance.
You're the right fit if:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Technology, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field; no prior experience required with Bachelor’s degree.
4+ years of experience in Environmental Safety or Occupational Health.
Solid understanding of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to support EHS programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
