Your next career opportunity
As a Schools Outreach Program Officer, you will play a crucial role in designing and coordinating outreach activities that inspire underrepresented students to consider the University of Melbourne. You will have the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders, including Future Students, Faculty colleagues, schools, and community groups. Your efforts will directly contribute to the University's Widening Participation goals, making a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinate Outreach Activities: Design and deliver high-quality pre-access events and programs for schools and community partners, managing logistics and stakeholder relationships.
Develop Inclusive Content: Create culturally safe, strengths-based outreach programs tailored to participants' ages and backgrounds.
Manage Student Ambassadors: Recruit, train, and coordinate a diverse team of student ambassadors to support outreach activities.
Build Partnerships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with schools, community organisations, and internal stakeholders to enhance program participation and alignment.

You are a passionate and experienced professional with strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to equity in education, and the ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders and programs effectively.
You may also:
Have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possess strong event coordination and program management skills.
Demonstrate excellent communication abilities, including presenting to groups.
Understand the barriers to higher education for widening participation cohorts.
Have experience working collaboratively in team environments.
Exhibit strong digital literacy and adaptability to new systems.
