Job description
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pool users whilst maintaining the highest standards of facility management and customer service. This position requires constant vigilance, professional expertise in lifesaving techniques, and a commitment to health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain constant vigilance over the pool area to ensure the safety of all users and enforce pool regulations and procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Execute lifesaving techniques and administer first aid interventions as required, maintaining current certifications and competency standards.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the pool area and associated facilities.
- Conduct regular and systematic inspections of all equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance requirements or safety concerns promptly to management.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service, addressing guest enquiries and concerns with efficiency and professionalism.
- Support the facility's operational objectives by promoting available services and activities to guests.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the pool area in accordance with established operational standards.
- Comply strictly with all health and safety regulations, including the safe handling and management of pool chemicals.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions to maintain and enhance lifesaving skills, knowledge, and professional development.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the organisation's uniform and grooming standards at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
