We are s seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team and work with our engineering team to optimize, implement, and maintain our organization’s cloud-based systems. Responsibilities include deploying and debugging systems, as well as executing new cloud initiatives. Successful candidate will have extensive experience engineering efficient continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and developing strategic plans to introduce or improve cloud best practices. Ideal candidate will have documented experience as a developer and be passionate about cloud technologies. Ultimately, you will work with different IT professionals and development teams to ensure our cloud computing systems meet the needs of our organization and customers in the most cost effective manner possible.
Desired Skills:
- Familiar with Assessment & Authorization process and associated artifact collection processAble to troubleshoot and support COTS and GOTS applications within a Windows/Azure hosted environment
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- Experience: 15+ years
- Required skills:
- Ability to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
- Experience in developing software using languages such as Java, Python, C++ or Ruby.
- Excellent programming skills to ensure the proper interpretation and implementation of code.
- Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible.
- Documented experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
- Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team.
- Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs
- Strong understanding of web services, API, REST.
- Demonstrated experience working with Agile Scrum based development team
- Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
- Location: Chantilly, VA customer site
