Vacuum coating engineer

• Overall Mirror coating workshop production management, both for Engineering and Production
• Mirror coating machine process setting for processing of plastics such as PC/PI and PA, to ensure production as per quality and quantity requirements
• Develops and set up tinting parameters for machines and auxiliary equipment
• Create tool set-up parameters sheet and operation instructions
• Initiate improvement programs and overall productivity including process consistency and efficiency, product quality, production flexibility, lead time and operating costs, using tools like Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma etc.
• Assigns and trains operators on procedure and work instructions
• To ensure that the tooling repair/ modification schedule are as per plan
• Discuss with suppliers for changes or modifications in the accessories
• Performs trial run and compiling data concerning product or process
• Carries out other related duties.
• University degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Polymer science;
• At least 5 years solid experience in Mirror coating, various manufacturing aspects, preferably in optical products industry
• have complete / thorough knowledge of plastic Mirror coating process setting , troubleshooting and process improvements
• experience in IS9000/14000 essential; know about lean, strong lean background will preferable
• An independent, hands-on, detail oriented person with strong interpersonal, communicational, organizational and analytical skills, and be able to develop teamwork spirit
• University degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Polymer science;
