Student Success Graduate Assistant
Scope of Responsibility
These positions support the Student Success Center in our efforts to recruit, retain, and graduate students prepared for the challenges of health and wellness careers.
SHSW's Student Success Center is located in the College of Professional Studies Building, room 240.
Specific Duties
Assembling communication pieces to promote student success strategies and opportunities
Assisting with the internal components of the prospective student communication plan, including sending postcards and contacting program directors with new admit info
Help coordinate events and career preparation activities using Suitable/PATH
Meetings with students enrolled in HSW 100 to assist in the development of their individual success plans.
Representing the SHSW at various recruitment events, including high school visits, ViewPoint Days, and Admitted Student Days.
Other duties as assigned.
9 month position, approximately 10 hours/week.
Skills necessary: attention to detail, communication (verbal, written, listening), and reliability.

Skills/Requirement
A graduate student enrolled in a SHSW major.
Willingness to learn.
Adaptability.
Critical thinking.
Confidentiality compliance (FERPA).
Qualifications and Compensation
To qualify for this position, applicants must be in good academic standing with the University. The position requires the ability to work during fall and spring semesters, 10 hours each week. Hourly rate: $16.95/hour.
