As a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer at Newfold Digital, Inc., you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex database solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability for our critical business applications.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement robust and efficient Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
Optimize existing PL/SQL code and SQL queries for performance and scalability.
Collaborate with application development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Perform database performance tuning, including indexing strategies, query optimization, and schema design improvements.
Develop and maintain data migration scripts and ETL processes.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, procedures, and processes.
Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production and development environments.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing initiatives.
Ensure data integrity and security across all database operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
Expert-level proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning techniques, and best practices.
Experience with large-scale database systems and high-volume transaction processing.
Familiarity with database design principles, data modeling, and normalization.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and SDLC methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with Oracle database tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar.
