Job Title: Boiler Operator

Employment Type: Pool as needed

Shift: Varied Shifts

Location: St. Francis Hospital

As a Boiler Operator you will:

  • Operate boiler and chiller plant systems and operating machinery according to specified parameters. 

  • Perform routine tests on boiler water and chill water systems and treats those systems chemically to maintain specific standards. 

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair maintenance on boiler and chiller plant machinery. 

  • Respond to boiler and chiller plant emergencies according to operating instructions. 

  • Conduct cleaning of plant spaces, equipment, and piping. 

  • Report to Chief Boiler Operator.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate

  • Completion of an approved course in high pressure steam boiler operations.

  • Current Fireman License with the City of Wilmington
