General Manager – Waterpark
The Waterpark General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational excellence of the waterpark. This role ensures outstanding guest experiences, highest safety standards, financial performance, and the development of a high-performing team.
- Provide overall leadership and direction for all waterpark operations, including staffing, scheduling, guest services, safety, and facility management to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Champion exceptional guest experiences by setting service standards, proactively resolving guest concerns, and driving continuous service improvement.
- Ensure the highest levels of safety and compliance by enforcing all safety policies, conducting regular audits and inspections, and maintaining full compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Lead the recruitment, training, performance management, and development of all waterpark team members, including leadership staff, lifeguards, attendants, and maintenance teams.
- Develop, manage, and control the waterpark’s annual budget, including revenue forecasting, cost management, and profitability strategies.
- Drive revenue growth through effective pricing, capacity management, upselling initiatives, and collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
- Oversee maintenance and asset management programs to ensure all attractions, equipment, and facilities are fully operational, well-maintained, and meet safety standards.
- Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to design and execute promotions, events, and campaigns that increase attendance, brand visibility, and market positioning.
- Act as the senior point of contact for owners, senior leadership, and key stakeholders, providing regular performance updates and strategic insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, leisure, or theme park operations, with waterpark experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and build a strong safety- and service-driven culture.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and guest engagement skills.
- In-depth knowledge of waterpark safety regulations, risk management, and operational best practices.
