Job description
As a Material Handler Coordinator you will:
- Take direction from Team Leader and Manager.
- Receive material in SAP with the appropriate PO.
- Create Customs documents within SAP for shipments going overseas.
- Communicate with the Team Leader to ensure Orders are ready on time.
- Perform a variety of functions involved with shipping, receiving, storage of parts, materials, and products.
- Receive, store and ship chemicals appropriately when required.
- Ensure documents are turned over to the GB as directed.
- Report any discrepancies on the shipping request to the appropriate GB.
- Report Damage material and discrepancies for inbound material to the appropriate GB.
- Ensure customer shipments are loaded in a timely manner to meet the window time
- Ensure Post Goods have been sent through the system
- Ensure ASN's are transmitted correctly to the appropriate customer.
- Maintain the shipping and receiving log by GB.
- Regular participation in special tasks as assigned such as 6S.
- Look for opportunities to improve the process and take the lead on implementation.
- Responsible for one's own work.
- Constant safety mindset necessary to prevent injury to others, due to inherent hazards. An accident, should it occur, would result in injuries of a partially incapacitating nature such as loss of a limb or eye, or severe health hazard.
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Good computer skills and keyboard proficiency
- Over 1 year up to and including 3 years relevant supply chain and warehouse experience
- Requires continuous attention to detail, usually repetitive work or diversified
- Minimum of two years of experience with MS Office software suite preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Must be self-motivated and willing to be flexible in work schedule and hours. Sometimes the job requires staying later or working weekends to assist with operational issues.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without Visa Sponsorship
- Daily use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, schedules, checking of reports, forms, records, and comparable data, where interpretation is required.
- Valid OSHA certification of powered industrial truck such as Order Picker, Reach Truck, Pacer, Sit Down, etc...
