Job description
Apply analytical, problem solving and communication skills to guarantee continuous fuel availability, oversee procurement, and enforce strict controls and preferred purchasing strategies to optimize overall fuel spend .
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Fuel Monitoring & Procurement: Conduct data-driven analysis of fuel consumption trends across multiple terminals and vendor locations. Enforce adherence to fueling at preferred locations. Work with head office and external fuel vendors on pricing negotiations. Audit fuel invoices to ensure proper fuel discounts are applied.
• Corporate Fuel Card & Asset Management: Oversee the issuance, tracking, and cancellation of corporate fuel cards and fobs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Fraud Prevention & Compliance: Perform risk assessments on fuel usage to detect irregularities. Enforce internal controls to mitigate, detect, and prevent fraud including follow up with operations and vendors to complete thorough investigations of exceptions and fraud alerts.
• Operational Data Analytics & Reporting: Develop and analyze key performance metrics related to fuel efficiency, cost control, and fleet utilization. Provide strategic insights for senior management to support cost reduction and operational improvements to optimize purchasing.
• Pump System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Oversee and coordinate troubleshooting with site locations and vendors to ensure continuous fuel availability.
• Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in fuel usage and fleet operations, recommending data-backed process improvements to enhance productivity and cost effectiveness.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and fleet management software (Phoenix, GPS tracking systems, etc.).
• Strong data analysis skills with experience handling large datasets for reporting and decision-making.
• Ability to work independently, use critical thinking, problem solve & collaborate.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a demanding and fast paced environment.
• Strong communication skills; understanding and ability to interact with internal and external parties in a professional manner.
