Under limited supervision and with some technical guidance of more senior automation technicians efficiently perform installation, integration, programming, maintenance, repair, upgrades, and all improvement modifications on electrical or robotic numerically controlled equipment. Manage multiple projects and prioritize actions in support of manufacturing objectives.

This position supports our Industrial Division (IND) in Minneapolis, MN. Products from IND includes advanced fluid dispense systems used in alternative energy, automotive and packaging industries and finishing products, such as paint spraying systems used in the aerospace and automotive industries, as well as on furniture, windows and doors.
What You Will Do at Graco
Provide electrical, mechanical, and robotic support necessary to keep all Company production equipment in good working order. May support or mentor Maintenance Mechanic positions.
Support engineering efforts to install and integrate new robotic equipment
Support engineering efforts to monitor equipment performance and perform systematic performance analysis to drive improvements on equipment reliability, availability, throughput, and cost of ownership.
Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems
Keep accurate maintenance records
Order parts/supplies and maintain inventory accuracy (5%)
Perform preventative maintenance on all company-owned robotic equipment.
Meet operational requirements and expectations for accuracy of work, while minimizing waste by caring for product, equipment, and facilities.
Maintain a productive, efficient, and team-oriented work environment
Follow all required safety guidelines and utilize the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform machine safety analysis to verify systems meet OSHA requirements
Create and modify machine wiring schematics
Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring to Graco
Associates degree in an associated electronics, robotics, engineering field or equivalent work experience.
0-5 years of robotic experience.
0-5 years of experience with electrical, electrical controls, and PLCs
20 hours of (field related) continuing education per year
Ability to disassemble equipment, diagnose problems, and reassemble in a proficient manner
Highly proficient working knowledge of a variety of electronic controls.
Install, maintain, and repair robotics.
Inspect work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
Develop preventive maintenance plan based on equipment documentation and experience for automation equipment
Understand safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts, which might cause injury to self, others, or the environment
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Knowledge and practical experience with pneumatics, sensors, and hydraulics
Self-directed with the ability to work independently and as a team.
Ability to take work direction and complete tasks in an organized and timely manner.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize actions to support management directives.
Ability to lead and instruct co-workers in a manner that promotes teamwork

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
