Location: 179 North Buncombe School Rd, Weaverville, 28787 Suite 102
Shift: Mon-Fri 8an-5pm
Schedules all physician office visits, lab, and chemotherapy appointments. Schedules necessary appointments and referrals for existing patients.
Ensures patient records are sent to appropriate outside agencies for referrals. Provides patients with pre-appointment special instructions.
Contacts hospitals to schedule patient surgery times per physician instructions. Ensures required testing and appointments are finalized prior to the next appointment date or surgery.
Answers the telephone in a professional and polite manner and communicates information to appropriate personnel.
Responds to voicemail messages promptly.
Updates information in the computer system for return patients. Interacts professionally with physicians, patients/families, and healthcare staff.
Maintains a good working relationship within the clinic and with hospital departments.
Calls patients to remind them of their scheduled appointments 48 hours prior to appointment time.
Assists the clinical department with rooming patients, taking vitals, etc., as needed.
