Job Summary:

As the Endoscopy Technician, you will work with the physician and RN during endoscopic procedures such as EGDs, colonoscopies, ERCP, making a direct impact on patient care at ProMedica. 

You will ensure proper supply and instrument management by checking the daily schedule for patients of all ages. 

You will maintain a sterile field and promptly address any breaks in sterile procedure during surgical procedures.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Education: High School graduation or equivalent 
  • Skills: Must be able to understand directions and communicate and respond to inquiries. Must be able to move about the facility and between workstations. Must be able to tolerate frequent exposure to latex and latex products. Must be able to tolerate possible exposures to blood borne pathogens and body fluids. Must be able to differentiate between colors, work with video equipment, lasers and hazardous supplies and equipment, and operate patient care equipment. Must be able to frequently move, lift and/or carry medium heavy to weight objects and materials.  
  • Certification: BLS  

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 

  • Years of Experience: Prior experience in a Surgical or GI setting 
  • Certification: GI Technical Specialist
