Job description
The Market Intelligence Analyst W/M will play a critical role in strengthening Salomon’s strategic foundations by delivering high-impact, business-oriented market insights that directly support leadership decision-making.
Sitting within the Strategy & Planning team, this role focuses on market dynamics, size, trends, and competitive intelligence. The position requires a strong analytical profile, industry awareness, and a builder mindset, someone motivated by creating structures, tools, and insights where foundations are still being developed.
This role collaborates closely with the Senior Manager of Strategy and Planning and engages on deep-dive topics requested by business leaders.
Main missions:
- Develop Integrated Market Insights to Drive Decisions: Build and deliver structured, actionable insights packages that support strategic and operational decision-making across the business.
- Market Trend & Strategic Analysis: Assess global and regional market trends to feed the Long-Term Strategic Plan (LTSP) and help leaders define Salomon’s strategic directions.
- Market Size & Performance Modeling: Develop and maintain robust market size models to:
- Understand total market potential
- Track Salomon’s performance and market share evolution across regions and categories
- Competitive Benchmarking & Market Dynamics: Conduct competitor benchmarking analyses to evaluate Salomon’s performance versus peers and identify key drivers behind competitive and category dynamics.
- Ad-hoc Deep-Dive Analyses: Support strategy and business teams with targeted, topic-specific analyses based on leadership priorities and one-off strategic needs.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in market intelligence, strategy, consulting, or analytics roles
- Experience from industry players, competitor brands, FMCG, fashion, outdoor, sports, or consulting firms is a strong plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate clear, structured data stories for senior leadership

Desired Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or similar quantitative business fields
- Languages: English fluent, French preferred
- Tools:
- Advanced Excel (working confidently with complex datasets)
- PowerPoint (ability to build clear, structured presentations)
- Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) are a plus
- AI tools experience: practical use of AI to analyze data, automate workflows, or enhance insights
