Your future role within Q-Tx:
The successful candidate will join the global Cloud Infrastructure team to design, build and support services and solutions to meet a wide variety of business requirements. You will be working closely with the trading, research and wider business teams to drive adoption of cloud-based services, implementing a cloud-first approach to problem solving. Cloud computing infrastructure is at the heart of Q-Tx’s IT platform, and spans across many business areas including research technology, trading tools, market execution and data processing.
- Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Develop automation scripts to manage and maintain cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Monitor and optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with development teams to support the deployment and operation of applications on AWS
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve the reliability, scalability, and security of the company's cloud infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AWS infrastructure
Your present skillset:
- Extensive experience with AWS, including experience with EC2, S3, VPC, and other core services
- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash)
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
- Experience with containers and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring and performance tuning in a cloud environment
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
