Effective through December 31, 2026. Responsibilities The Medical Office Specialist provides clinical and administrative support to Surgical Oncology physicians in an outpatient hospital setting. This role is essential in ensuring efficient patient flow, high-quality care delivery, and a positive patient experience. The staff member demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served and applies these principles to provide individualized, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Room patients and obtain vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, and temperature Assist with maintaining efficient patient flow throughout the office Support physicians and clinical staff during patient visits and office procedures Prepare exam rooms and assist with in-office procedures as needed Schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups and new patient visits Obtain and upload outside medical records and radiology imaging for new and established patients Coordinate retrieval of necessary documentation to support continuity of care Order and maintain clinical office supplies Provide general administrative and clinical support to the care team Every employee is expected to support the goals and mission of Mercy Medical Center, with a commitment to providing all patients with easy access to high-quality care, exceptional service, and value. Requirements EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED A minimum of one year experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Other Requirements: May be required to travel to satellite offices. Min USD $18.66/Hr. Max USD $30.79/Hr.
