Risk Consultant Reporting to the Head of Risk Consulting Analytics, you will provide consultative advice and recommendations on Natural Catastrophe and Perils and Climate risk management to clients. In this role you will be responsible for providing high quality support to a team of consultants and to a variety of clients. What the day will look like Delivering risk management services through a mixture of risk assessments and the design/ review of risk management frameworks. Working alongside senior colleagues, your work will involve supporting them in every aspect of their projects, learning about risk and insurance, and developing your skills to take on incrementally more responsibility over time. Assist with the maintaining and building relationships with internal Aon teams, external clients and representing Risk Management Consulting at functions. Data Analytics, including working on issues of diverse scope and developing conclusions from analyses, and applying results to the organisation’s business operations Report Writing Uses advanced knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to problems in the applicable specialization. Specializes in one type insurance or service (i.e. General Insurance / Cat Modelling / Physical Risk / Climate Analytics / Risk Management). Constructs probability tables based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information. Designs or reviews plans and calculations. Role Complexity: Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors. Able to develop conclusions from analyses and apply results to the organization’s business operations. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Discretion: Decisions normally have impact on the functional area and on clients and/or other parts of the company. Decisions are typically guided by functional practices, management precedents and professional standards. Interaction: Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. Uses knowledge to provide consultative advice and recommendations within specific functional areas. Supervision/Leadership: Operates independently and with initiative according to established standards and principles. May manage, supervise or provide support, guidance and training to others.
