Job description

The General Manager, Brand & Marketing – University Partnerships Australasia (UPA) leads the strategic direction, integration and performance of brand and marketing across the Australian university partnerships portfolio.

This is a high-impact executive role — operating at the intersection of brand, commercial growth, and university partnerships — where you will influence outcomes across multiple institutions and markets.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Sales & Marketing (UPA), with a functional line to the Group CMO, this is a high-impact executive role operating at the intersection of brand, commercial growth and university partnerships.

Working across both divisional and institutional levels, the role drives measurable growth outcomes while strengthening alignment with partner university brand strategies. As a key member of the University Partnerships leadership team, you will champion marketing as a strategic growth engine within the business.

You will partner closely with university CMOs, executive leaders and global teams to unlock growth, build brand equity, and deliver strong pipeline and conversion performance — shaping integrated strategies and campaigns that drive awareness, engagement and enrolment across key markets.

You are a commercially minded, strategic marketing leader who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

You bring:

  • 10+ years in senior marketing leadership roles

  • Experience working with co-branded, partnership or matrixed environments

  • Proven track record delivering growth, pipeline and brand outcomes that drive conversion, in close partnership with sales and business development teams

  • Deep expertise across brand, digital, performance marketing and MarTech, with a strong understanding of emerging AI applications and their impact on marketing

  • Proven ability to influence at executive level, including external partners

  • Experience leading transformation, capability uplift and operating model change

  • Proven experience building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a positive, high-performance culture

  • Strong commercial acumen and data-led decision making

  • Experience in higher education or service-based sectors is highly regarded.

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Management or similar.
