About us
Tamara is the leading fintech platform in Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region with a mission to help people make their dreams come true by building the most customer-centric financial super-app on earth. The company serves millions of users in KSA, UAE and Kuwait, and partners with leading global and regional brands such as SHEIN, Jarir, noon, Amazon, IKEA, eXtra and Farfetch as well as small and medium businesses.
Tamara is Saudi’s first fintech unicorn and is backed by Sanabil Investments, SNB Capital, Checkout.com, amongst others, operating out of its headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with other regional and global support offices.
About the role
This is a startup-within-a-startup role. You will be responsible for building a net new banking product from scratch for the Saudi Arabia market — from ideation through design and launch.
This role is high ambiguity, high complexity, and requires someone who thrives in uncharted territory. There is no playbook — you will write it. You must be comfortable navigating ambiguity, making tactical trade-offs, and moving with execution velocity.
As Product Manager, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle of a new fintech product that will advance how merchants at Tamara manage their money. You will work daily with a full-stack team — engineers, product designers, researchers, data analysts, operations, and business stakeholders — to ship an innovative and incredible experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the execution, vision & strategy for a net new fintech vertical.
- Work with engineers, designers, data scientists, and commercial teams to drive the roadmap for a net-new product.
- Be technically competent enough to be able to decide on the execution plan while managing several internal technical dependencies.
- Deeply understand the KSA Fintech ecosystem, compliance rules & regulations — and understand how it may impact your roadmap.
- Deeply understand the operational impacts of the products we are releasing & work with risk, compliance, treasury, customer support and others to ensure product success.
- Prototype rapidly using tools like Cursor, Claude & Codex to accelerate product development work.
- Contribute to commercial planning & GTM of the product and own the outcomes.
- Lead a core team of engineers & designers and drive the end to end execution forward.
- Contribute to the evolution of Tamara’s Product Management practices as AI scales our work.
Qualifications:
- You have 4+ years of Product Management experience, with proven experience building 0—>1 products that have shipped and scaled.
- You have worked with early stage product teams or startups and have successfully taken a product from concept to launch.
- You have strong UX taste — you care deeply about the end-to-end customer experience and can hold a high bar for product quality.
- You have experience working on complex, multi-surface products with a large blast radius of impact.
- You are a strong collaborator who works effectively with engineering, design, data, and operations teams on a daily basis.
- You are data-driven — you have strong analytical skills, are comfortable with experimentation, and can use data to inform decisions and measure outcomes.
- You are able to think from first principles, break down complex problems, and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
- You have strong business acumen — you understand unit economics, business models, and can make decisions that balance customer value with business outcomes.
- You understand regulatory requirements and operational considerations that come with building financial products.
- You are customer-obsessed — you aren’t shy about getting on calls with merchants, visiting them, and deeply understanding their needs.
- FinTech experience — you have worked on financial products before and understand the nuances of payments, banking, lending, or adjacent spaces.
- Must have the ability to use AI in their day to day to work. Preferred experience working in high-growth companies.
- Arabic speaking is required for this role — you will work closely with merchants and stakeholders in KSA.
All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply.
