The SEI & Intelerad Global Controllership Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with GE HealthCare policies and U.S. GAAP for technical and operational accounting matters affecting the Software and AI portfolio within the Imaging segment. This role plays a critical leadership role in the day to day Controllership operations and the integration of the Intelerad acquisition and partners closely with Finance, Controllership, FP&A, Tax, IT, and Operations to ensure successful integration into GE HealthCare’s financial and control environment.

Ideal candidates should have experience in accounting, financial reporting and closing/consolidation in addition to solid skills in problem solving, verbal and written communication, and working cross functionally in a global organization.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own the overall balance sheet review process on a quarterly basis for the SEI segment, including Intelerad, conducting balance sheet reviews, driving open items to resolution, deep-dive review of certain high-risk areas.

  • Serve as controllership lead for Intelerad integration, including ERP and process integration. Communicate with Regional and Global controllership teams on help needed and reporting. Coordinate Intelerad day‑to‑day integration tasks, monitor progress, and escalate gaps.

  • Partner with Intelerad finance teams on data alignment and reporting.

  • Lead the transition of Intelerad controllership org to align with the GEHC controllership organization and procedures.

  • Lead accounting processes for areas of direct segment responsibility including research & development, fulfilment activities and evolving software-enabled and commercial solution offerings. Includes periodic reviews with the operational/product teams to ensure appropriate recording, categorization, capitalization and impairment evaluations (if applicable).

  • Review external software development programs for appropriate accounting, including controls, sign-off, impairment risk, amortization. Ensure consistency of accounting with GEHC’s accounting policies/procedures and collaborate with the Imaging Controller and Global Headquarters team to resolve any exceptions.

  • Perform annual fair market value updates, including input from all regions to support various calculations at the Segment level.

  • Partner with BD controllership to support on acquisition‑related activities including integration and earn‑out monitoring impacting SEI.

  • Support the evolution of segment controllership capabilities, including alignment of accounting approaches for software offerings, commercial models, and longer-term or multi-element customer arrangements across the portfolio.

  • Propose any segment-level accounting policies and procedures and collaborate with the Imaging Controller and Global Headquarters team to implement. Provide training to appropriate Finance Managers and CFO on segment-level policies and procedures.

  • Partner with Regional and Statutory teams to enable accurate and timely STAT reporting.

  • Support Regional and Global controllership teams on product functionality determinations and evolving revenue recognition considerations, particularly for software, bundled offerings, to comply with GEHC revenue recognition guidelines, including New Product Introductions (NPIs)

  • Other financial and segment related activities, as applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or controllership

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS exposure preferred

  • Experience in research of accounting and reporting issues, including interpreting U.S. GAAP and SEC Reporting Rules

  • Demonstrated expertise in application of policies and procedures for day-to-day accounting and financial transactions. Working level understanding of US GAAP and SEC requirements for areas of responsibility for this role, including, but not limited to software revenue recognition

  • Experience assessing accounting implications of commercial arrangements, including software, bundled offerings

  • Experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, Hyperion etc.), strong Excel skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Certified Public Accountant or equivalent (i.e., Chartered Accountant)

  • M&A, integration or previous large project management experience

  • Familiarity with GEHC processes, systems, and cross-functional organization structure

  • Adaptable/ Flexible: Ability to work beyond role boundaries or with uncertainty & fluid situations- able to embrace change in response to new information, unexpected or different circumstances and ambiguous situation.

  • Is quality conscious- provides quality deliverables consistently and has an eye for details.

  • Is organized and manages time well.

  • Experience applying SOX requirements

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $140,000.00-$210,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
