IVX Health is seeking a Senior AI Development Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade AI solutions across a complex healthcare environment. This role is responsible for advancing AI strategy, establishing engineering standards, and delivering scalable, compliant solutions that drive clinical and business value.
What You'll Do
- Design & Deploy AI Solutions: Build and implement scalable AI/ML systems, including predictive analytics, NLP, and generative AI. Develop production-grade pipelines for data ingestion, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Drive Enterprise Integration: Integrate AI solutions with EHR/EMR systems, data platforms, APIs, and cloud infrastructure. Ensure performance, scalability, and resilience across enterprise environments.
- Ensure Security & Compliance: Design AI systems that meet healthcare regulatory standards, including HIPAA and other compliance frameworks. Partner with security and risk teams to enforce governance, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
- Provide Technical Leadership: Serve as a senior advisor on AI architecture and emerging technologies. Establish standards for engineering practices, code quality, and system design while mentoring engineers and data scientists.
- Support End-to-End AI Lifecycle: Lead AI initiatives from proof-of-concept through enterprise deployment, ensuring robust model evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate Across the Organization: Partner with executive leadership, clinical teams, and product stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into AI-driven solutions. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Essential Competencies & Skills
- Strong experience designing and deploying AI/ML systems in production environments.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, and modern machine learning frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and data engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with large language models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and retrieval-based architectures.
- Experience with model evaluation, bias mitigation, and performance testing.
- Familiarity with vector databases, MLOps practices, and model monitoring.
- Strong understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years focused on AI/ML systems.
- Experience deploying AI solutions in cloud environments.
- Experience working in regulated environments preferred, with healthcare experience strongly preferred.
