Overview
The QC Electrical Inspector ensures all electrical assemblies, installations, sub-assemblies, and final units meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable electrical codes (CSA, UL, NEC, CEC). The role performs in-process, pre-paint/pre-test, and final inspections; verifies workmanship and compliance; documents results; and maintains traceability throughout the production process.
Roles & Responsibilities
Complete sub‑assembly inspections including motor assemblies, evaporative cooler sub‑assemblies, power and control panels, and assorted low‑ and medium‑voltage devices and installations.
Perform daily Final and Pre‑Test inspections, including torque verification, component model and serial number verification, photo documentation, and confirmation of all required parts.
Verify that all documentation—both physical and digital—is complete, accurate, and of high quality.
Review daily paperwork for all in‑process units and report any deficiencies to the Quality Supervisor.
Verify build compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical standards (CSA, UL, NEC, CEC).
Ensure adherence to internal QMS and customer requirements, including ODS, standards, and procedures.
Support education and knowledge‑sharing by assisting other inspectors and production team members.
Assist with drawing mark‑ups for Engineering changes and submit issues or discrepancies to the Quality Supervisor through the ECR process.
Maintain clear, detailed inspection records noting all deviations, defects, and findings to ensure traceability and quality control.
Identify, document, and report all non‑conformances following the NCR procedure, providing detailed descriptions, supporting evidence, and assisting with corrective actions as required.
Ensure all inspection forms are accurately completed, uploaded to the shared drive, and all relevant trackers are updated promptly.
Perform all duties in accordance with Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safe‑work practices.

Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Document control systems proficiency; Microsoft Office.
Maintains strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
Understanding of inspection workflows (assembly/electrical/welding) to validate completeness.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
Works effectively on individual tasks, maintaining productivity and accountability with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, resolve issues, and consistently meet deadlines.
Working Conditions
Manufacturing/commercial/industrial environment with PPE.
Potential exposure to energized systems under controlled procedures.
Must have the ability to stand for extended periods throughout each shift.
Overtime may be available occasionally with work volume.
