Job description

We are currently looking for a Receiving and Shipping Clerk for our Montréal-East site, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Receiving and Shipping Clerk is responsible for welcoming customers and directing them to the appropriate area for material unloading. The incumbent also serves as a key resource in enforcing health and safety rules within their area of responsibility.

What you’re responsible for :

  • Confirm customer visit schedules;
  • Work closely with the logistics and transportation departments;
  • Greet customers courteously while following established procedures and requirements;
  • Participate in the unloading of materials using various types of equipment (forklift);
  • Sort and inspect different types of metals and direct them to the appropriate departments;
  • Weigh metals using the scale;
  • Perform data entry.

To join our team :

  • You have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in shipping and receiving or in an industrial environment;
  • You are recognized for your ability to establish and manage priorities in a fast‑paced work environment, as well as for your ability to make quick decisions;
  • You are able to communicate in both French and English (functional level);
  • You excel in customer service and communication and demonstrate a professional attitude;
  • You have a basic knowledge of computer systems and are comfortable using management software;
  • You are able to operate a forklift and are comfortable performing physical tasks.
