Jefferson Health is seeking a Hybrid Hospitalist Physician to support our New Jersey campuses, with a primary base at Washington Township and rotational coverage at Cherry Hill and Stratford. This role offers a dynamic practice environment across multiple community hospital settings, providing a diverse patient population and collaborative care experience.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of hospitalized patients across assigned campuses.
  • Rotate between Washington Township, Cherry Hill, and Stratford locations to support clinical coverage needs and maintain continuity of care.
  • Participate in patient admissions, daily rounding, and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, including Rapid Response and Code Blue events.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocol development.
  • Support and mentor medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers, as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Active New Jersey medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Active DEA and CDS registrations.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior hospitalist experience in a community or academic setting.
  • Experience working across multiple sites or in a hybrid/float model.
  • Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems.
  • Interest in teaching and academic engagement.
