Title: Sr. Java Developer

Location: Mclean VA (Locals or Nearby Only)

Duration: 9 – 12 months+

Required Skills: Java/J2EE, Javascript, Weblogic/Tomcat, SQL (Sybase, Oracle, MSSQL, DB2), HTML/CSS, Shell scripting, autosys, GIT

The following experience is required

• Experience in design, development, integration and testing of software solutions based on J2EE technologies including servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), JDBC, and JNDI.
• Knowledge of Application and Web Servers such as Weblogic and Apache Tomcat.
• Extensive experience communicating with relational databases through JDBC such as Oracle, DB2, Sybase and MSSQL.
• Proficiency in object-oriented application design and integration patterns and ability to apply design patterns to solve technical problems.
• Knowledge and experience in full Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and best practices.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on process criticality.

The candidate should be able to work within a well-documented project methodology such as SDLC or Agile. A detailed knowledge of fixed income securities and analytics, and experience of working with fixed income trading desks and modeling areas is a plus.
