Job description

About Lindy

Lindy is building the AI assistant for everyone else — not the tinkerers, not the builders, but the people who just want their day back. Lindy Assistant lives in iMessage, handles email, calendar, and meetings, and takes two minutes to set up. We're building the layer between powerful AI models and real people's lives.

The Role

We're looking for our first dedicated people hire: someone who can own recruiting end-to-end while building out the people ops foundation underneath it.

This isn't a coordinator role. You'll set the strategy, run the process, and build the systems. You'll be the person who makes sure we hire the right people, fast — and that we don't fumble the basics once they're in the door.

What You'll Own

Recruiting (the majority of your time)

Full-cycle recruiting across engineering, product, GTM, and ops

  • Build and own our sourcing pipeline — outbound, inbound, referrals, agencies when needed
  • Design and run structured interview processes with scorecards and calibration
  • Own candidate experience from first touch to offer close
  • Manage our ATS (Ashby) and keep it clean and useful
  • Partner with hiring managers to define roles, level expectations, and move fast

People ops

  • Own onboarding and offboarding end-to-end
  • Keep comp bands, offer templates, and people policies up to date
  • performance and feedback cycles
  • Handle compliance basics — employment law, I-9s, classification, that kind of thing
  • Be the person employees actually come to with questions

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting, at least some of it at a high-growth startup
  • You've built recruiting process from scratch — not just inherited one
  • Strong sourcer: you know how to find people who aren't looking
  • Comfortable owning people ops basics without a dedicated HR team around you
  • Fast, organized, and good at pushing hiring managers to make decisions
  • You use data to manage pipelines, not just gut feel

Bonus: experience recruiting technical roles (engineers, PMs)

What This Isn't

  • A coordinator role where you're scheduling interviews someone else designed
  • A big-company HR job with a team and a budget and a playbook already written
  • A role where "we'll figure out the process later" is acceptable

Why Lindy

  • Series B backed by Menlo, Battery, and Coatue
  • Small team — you'll have real ownership and real impact
