Video Editor

We are looking for a skilled Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a polished final product that effectively communicates a story or message. The successful candidate will be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Video Editor is to take raw material to create a finished product suitable for broadcasting. This involves cutting and editing video footage, applying sound and music effects, and ensuring the final product meets the required standards and goals set by the team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble recorded footage into a polished final product
• Select the best takes for the final product
• Cut scenes for pacing
• Add elements like sound, music, and visual effects
• Collaborate with directors and producers to meet project goals

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in video editing, preferably with software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
• A strong sense of timing and visual storytelling
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent collaboration skills
• Experience in sound design
• Experience in music editing
• Knowledge in applying visual effects
