Senior BIM Coordinator-MEP

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BIM Coordinator-MEP to join our team in Chennai, India. In this role, you will lead the coordination of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems on large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex BIM processes efficiently.

• Oversee the development and implementation of BIM strategies for MEP systems
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate integration of MEP components in BIM models
• Conduct clash detection analyses and resolve conflicts between different building systems
• Develop and maintain BIM execution plans and standards for MEP projects
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and facilitate communication between various stakeholders
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior BIM coordinators and project team members
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to optimize MEP designs
• Generate reports and presentations to communicate BIM-related information to project teams and clients
• Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and methodologies in the MEP field

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination, with a focus on MEP systems
• Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit and Navisworks
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes
• Excellent coordination and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines
• Advanced problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
• In-depth understanding of industry standards and best practices in BIM and MEP
• BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) preferred
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead BIM coordination efforts
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in India is a plus
