Job description
- Develop and implement project control strategies, systems, and processes to ensure successful project delivery
- Lead a team of project control professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management
- Establish and monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability
- Conduct regular project reviews and risk assessments, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
- Analyze project performance data and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives
- Identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in project control methodologies
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards in project execution
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government entities
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required
- 15+ years of experience in project control or related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
- Extensive experience managing large-scale, complex projects in construction, engineering, and rail projects
- Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) and Excel
- Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills, with the ability to develop and manage project budgets
- Expertise in risk management, performance metrics, and KPI development
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels
- In-depth understanding of local regulations and business practices in Saudi Arabia
- Additional relevant certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, AACE International certifications) are a plus
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management and mentoring
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
