Job description
As a Managing Consultant (Mobility) within Egis’ Transport business line, your impact will be in effectively manage relationships with existing clients and build client networks, leading the development of high-quality proposals and delivering technical excellence and client satisfaction on projects, locally and across the ANZ region.
What you’ll do
- Lead and manage a team of professionals to meet client & project requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of concurrent projects through the different stages of the project lifecycle within agreed time and budget
- Identify and qualify potential new clients aligned with the service line strategy, develop pursuit plans, lead go/no go processes and manage bid/tender activities for team
- Generate new work and profitable business performance, through the maintenance and building upon new and existing client relationships
- Provide technical expertise and advice relating to traffic engineering, land use/transport integration, approval processes and management
- Provide strategic advice to clients relating to transport planning, transport infrastructure, transport network design for active, public, freight and private vehicle modes
- Develop and implement project recommendations that are feasible within budget and time constraints.
- Undertake traffic impact assessments
- Undertake analysis for business cases and other necessary studies and projects for clients
Ideally, you will have at least 10 years’ experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment, in addition you will also have:
- Tertiary qualification(s) in relevant field (E.g. Urban Planning, Transport Planning, Engineering, Business/Commerce, Economics)
- Demonstrated understanding of transport planning, urban planning, placemaking, precinct planning and transport assessments
- Demonstrated experience working and advising on public sector projects
- Experience as a people leader with proven experience successfully guiding and coaching project teams
- Proven project management skills across full life cycle of projects (medium to large)
- Demonstrated skills in managing successful proposals and pursuits to win new business.
- GIS experience is desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
