Exciting opportunity for Welding Technicians at our Newly Expanded Palmetto, Florida Manufacturing Plant!

Great plant environment and team focused on safety.  Join us and assist in building these incredible heat exchangers!

This facility manufactures cryogenic equipment to support the company’s industrial gas and LNG business.  As well as pressure vessels, distillation columns, piping skids and cold boxes it is also the world’s leading manufacturer of liquefied natural gas (LNG) heat exchangers.  Each heat exchanger consists of coil wound tube bundles housed within an aluminum or stainless-steel pressure shell, all of which are assembled and welded by skilled employees at the plant.  The heat exchanger is the heart of the LNG process and will be shipped to customers throughout the world.  Each heat exchanger takes approximately three years to build and each one is engineered to order.

PLANT POSITION COMPETITIVE SALARY- TRAINING SKILLED & SEMI-SKILLED POSITIONS Starting rate based on: Previous Experience Skill Level or Ability to pass weld qualifications

Principal responsibilities of this position include:

Welder openings are skilled positions requiring knowledge of GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, fabrication drawings, blueprints, AWS weld symbols, and welding procedures. GMAW of aluminum experience is a plus.  The Welder positions also require experience setting up welding equipment for safe and efficient use, and the use of aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel welding in various positions and degrees of difficulty.

As a Welder, you must pass qualification tests in accordance with ASME Section IX and qualified WPS.

You will also be exposed to multiple craft skills including, but not limited to:

  • Safe hand tool operation
  • Layout and assembly skills
  • Machining, Plasma Cutter, Press Break, Lathe, Saw, Milling
  • Shop mathematics and blueprints
  • Welding, fitting, and cutting skills
  • Sheet metal equipment
  • Material handling equipment
  • Dye penetrant testing
  • LNG tube winding operations

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • Associates degree in a technical field preferred
  • Previous welding experience required
  • Prior fabrication craft skills or manufacturing experience required
  • You must be able to work any shift
  • Some travel opportunities may be available (domestic and international)

Technical School Graduates:  Students with a background in Welding, Industrial Systems, Machine Tool Technology, are encouraged to apply.
