Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the Balance Sheet Management team within Corporate Treasury. The candidate will be part of the team that analyses the Bank’s balance sheet trends, recommends balance sheet strategies and reviews plans to safeguard contingency liquidity.

You will be proactively involved in balance sheet discussions, and that includes keeping abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments and interaction with internal stakeholders. You will help to provide Secretariat support to the Group’s Asset and Liability Committee and Funding Strategy Committee. There will be opportunities to develop new initiatives and participate in cross functional projects.


What you will be doing:

  • Analyse balance sheet trends, assess resource markers, estimate the impact to profitability, and track balance sheet strategies

  • Commercial Book Interest Rate Risk management and strategy formulation

  • Coordinate with business units to monitor growth trends

  • Assist in the preparation of various reports, analysis and other working files including on Loans and Deposits, FTP, and Operating Plan

  • Support the team to prepare presentation material for the ALCO and Funding Committee meetings

  • Work with the team to produce ad hoc reports/projects as required

  • Keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments


What are we looking for:

  • Keen interest in strategic balance sheet management and passionate towards achieving success

  • Knowledge of interest rate management strategies and techniques

  • Strong written and verbal communicator

  • Good financial literacy and able to conceptualize mathematical solutions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint

  • Good degree in Accountancy, Business or Finance

  • 8+ years of experience in a related banking/finance role
