Associate Analyst

JOB ROLE SUMMARY

A dynamic and diverse role requiring extensive analytical, data product and business skills applied through the execution of data including, development, and creation of data content for use in data products and solutions. Responsible for data analysis, reporting, and technology implementations using industry leading principles, methodologies, and programs.  These analytic activities are typically product or solution based designed for use by many clients or the focus of a single client who requires custom research and data development to solve a specific business problem.  The Analyst is a thought leader who is innovative and logical and aware of current privacy/compliance laws and one who has the ability to participate and contribute to all facets of the data life cycle either independently or as part of a team. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and develop an understanding of products, tools, and processes.
• Utilize data and develop build rules for data components for products or statistical modeling methods to create information products and analytical solutions for clients' marketing objectives.
• Assist with the validation and delivery of products or enhancements.
• Focus on short-term deliverables. 
• Prepare analysis datasets for more senior analysts by appending data, deduping, loading data to analysis application, and merging with other datasets. 
• Perform queries on the data to discern data anomalies and quality audits to ensure the accuracy of the rules or statistical models prior to delivery to clients.
• Monitor model performance and adjust models as directed by more senior analysts.
• Assist with engineering, build teams, and delivery to create ensure appropriate data delivery.
• Perform basic research/analysis to include accuracy reports, cross-tabs, frequencies, data hygiene, correlations, data summarizations, and profiles reports or profile data. 
• Provide post-project support.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required 

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Math, Computer Science) or related degree programs and/or 2-4 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred

• Knowledge of data quality, database concepts, analysis, and rule/code development.
• Knowledge of appropriate software for data management.
• Knowledge of the Information Continuum (Structured to Unstructured Data).
• Knowledge of statistical software.
• Knowledge of analytics & statistical modeling.

Travel %

• < 10% travel
