Internal Auditor

Our client is sure footed and has the compelling vision of heralding the area of excellent journalism in Nigeria. It has commenced the publication of an incisive and well balanced newspaper. It seeks to strengthen its overall risk management to engender sustainability.

This position is answerable to the board of directors. It also has reporting relationship to the publisher/CEO as well as operational relationship with the finance function:

Persons Specifications:                                 

A good first degree or higher national diploma in a numerate discipline, management sciences or allied areas. The possession of a master’s degree will be an added advantage.

Professional membership of the institute of chartered accountants (ICAN) or comparable institute is required. CIA qualification is desirable.

Possession of a minimum of 8 years post-graduation cognate experience in well run establishment, four of which should be in managerial or tem lead role is essential. Auditing experience in a mass media environment, will offer a clear advantage.

The right candidates must be an articulate, versatile and seasoned professional who is abreast of the statutory requirements. He or she must demonstrate the big picture, orientation and pro-activity in setting system procedures and processes and ensuring their effective implementation independently and critical thinking facilities are key.
