Job description
- Provide all immediate assessments, treatment and health care to clients as needed and requested.
- Provide follow-up medical care, treatment and support as needed.
- Assist the contracted doctors with conducting medical/forensic examination as needed and requested by the client.
- Assist with any other medical follow up that may required for legal procedure, and help ensure that medical certificates are delivered to the appropriate agencies in a timely manner.
- Help refer and support clients to access additional health care that may not be provided at the center, such as family planning services, other medical care etc.
- Manage and oversee the centre pharmacy and medical supplies.
- A degree in nursing or similarqualification in nursing.
- At least 3 years experience in thedirect provision of examinations, treatment and care service to women andchildren including clients of sexual assault, domestic violence, and otherforms of gender-based violence.
- Substantial knowledge and/orpractical experience in health and medical issues pertaining to gender basedviolence response, and in the provision of appropriate care for clients.
- Demonstrated knowledge of andability to apply the principles of providing quality service delivery forclients of gender-based violence in various settings and circumstances.
