[IT Delivery Center] Cloud Architect

In a nutshell 

As a Cloud/Devops Architect at Eurofins, you will be supporting our global IT Application development teams to move towards a cloud-first and DevOps mind-set and transition many of our applications to be deployed, run and operated via automation in the public cloud. 

Where will you be based and what business will you support? 

You will be part of a geographically dispersed IT Architecture team with a focus on supporting our global IT Application development teams.  

How can you help us?  

You will collaborate with the Cloud Engineering Team in defining cloud standards and governance, and with Product Development to define their technology transition into the cloud.  

You will work on automation of processes, testing and security; and on document standards in readiness for governance approval.  

You will design scalable enterprise cloud frameworks (AWS control Tower, Azure Landing Zones etc), define and standardise tooling; and improve software performance metrics.  

You will be a trusted hands-on advisor for IaC and CI/CD pipelines, while evangelising DevOps/Cloud culture and practices; and consulting with business to build new channels between development and operations teams.  

Are you our kind of extraordinary? 

You have: 

• 2 years of general experience both in on premise and Multi Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenStack);  
• Strong experience in DevOps environments and tooling; 
• K8s Experience 
• Hands on experience with Terraform, Cloudformation, Kubernetes and containerisation; 
• Strong prior experience with creating architecture and general technical documentation; 
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps pipelines; 
• The ability to manage multiple projects / tasks concurrently and drive them to completion; 
• The ability to work independently and effectively under pressure while identifying ambiguity and driving for clarity; 
• Documentation and Diagrammes as code (structurizr) benefitial. 
• The ability to motivate and influence others; 

You are: 

• An excellent communicator (concise writing and orally convincing); 
• A strong collaborator, able to build relationships with both leaders and team members; 
• Capable to establish trust based on outstanding expertise with stakeholders; 
• Capable of adapting quickly to a complex distributed organization; 
• Detail oriented; 

What else should I know?  

• Experience in working with distributed teams or offshore teams is a plus.  
• Vendor Specific cloud certifications, Architect, DevOps are also a plus!
