We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Accountant to join our Finance team in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne office on a full-time basis until September 2027.
Reporting to the Project Accounting Leader you will be supporting key business and project stakeholders with high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting. This role plays a critical part in overseeing financial planning activities, managing budget cycles, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation, analysis, and commentary of financial and management reports to inform decision-making.
Coordinate project financial planning and budgeting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
Maintain general ledger systems and ensure integrity of financial data and controls.
Support business managers by integrating and interpreting financial data, forecasts, and long-term trends.
Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory returns and compliance reports.
Maintain strong internal controls, audit trails, and secure financial systems.
Contribute to the development of longer-term financial plans and forecasts, informed by market and economic conditions.
Capitalise assets in the fixed assets register in accordance with applicable policies and accounting standards.
Your Background
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CA/CPA qualified or working towards is desirable).
Proven experience in financial and/or management accounting within a complex and fast-paced project environment.
5+ Years experience in a senior accounting role.
Previous project accounting experience in construction projects.
Strong skills in liquidity forecasting and financial modelling.
Ability to analyse and communicate financial insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
High proficiency in using accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
