Job description
Key Responsibilities
1. Flow Assurance Studies & Operational Support
- Perform and supervise all required flow assurance simulation studies (e.g., production optimization, forecasting, operating envelope evaluations, modification studies).
- Troubleshoot flow‑related issues and support production optimization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain the Flow Assurance Dossier and Flow Assurance Manual.
- Prepare start‑up sequences designed to reduce flaring, including gas‑in procedures and trunkline turndown strategies.
- Recommend technical solutions to optimize existing installations and operating conditions.
- Monitor system performance and adjust operational procedures based on field observations.
- Develop flow assurance guidelines for commissioning and well start‑up, from initial gas introduction to full dual‑train LNG operation.
2. Production & Asset Support
- Assist production and asset teams in analyzing flow assurance‑related shortfalls and identifying corrective or preventive actions.
- Collaborate with the chemical treatment team to address flow issues related to chemistry, deposits, or contaminants.
- Act as primary interface with subsurface teams to validate that production forecasts align with flow assurance operating envelopes.
3. Modifications & New Developments
- Provide flow assurance input to new field developments, engineering studies, and project modifications.
- Contribute flow assurance feedback to HQ technical studies and ongoing developments.
4. Flow Assurance Modeling
- Develop and maintain the comprehensive flow assurance model, including integration of updated PVT data and well test results.
- Maintain close communication with reservoir and well performance teams to ensure model accuracy.
5. Digital Tools & Operational Technology
- Lead development of the SMARTS tool (real‑time subsea surveillance and virtual metering), from bidding to final site implementation.
- Support development of subsea operational tools such as:
- Subsea Operating Training Simulator (OTS)
- Overall Control of Well and Trunkline (OCWT)
- Contribute to digital solution development for tracking and optimizing subsea KPIs, operating envelopes, chemical injection strategies, and production forecasts.
6. Training, Interfaces & Coordination
- Maintain strong communication with global flow assurance specialists and HQ teams.
- Develop training materials and deliver flow assurance training for operations and production personnel.
Accountabilities
- Ensure full subsea flow assurance readiness for project start‑up.
- Prepare complete start‑up documentation, simulations, procedures, tools, and reporting for subsea systems.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Master’s degree in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Strong experience with process simulation tools such as Pro/II, OLGA, PVTSim.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 15 years in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
- Minimum 10 years specifically in Flow Assurance.
- Experience in LNG Flow Assurance is a strong advantage.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Excellent organizational and methodological skills.
- Starting date : 01/07/2026
- Duration : 1 year, renewable
- Based in Paris, residential position
- Then Maputo in rotation (after 2 years)
