Job description

Reporting to the Global Director of Contract Service Delivery, the Senior Manager of Reliability oversees all MRP, RSP, and CBM contracts across North America. This role ensures safe, high‑quality, and profitable delivery while driving engineering excellence, operational consistency, and continuous improvement. The Senior Manager leads a team of reliability managers and engineers to strengthen performance and support strategic growth.

 

  • Lead all reliability activities under MRP and RSP contracts, ensuring compliance with customer and contractual requirements.
  • Build and develop a high‑performing reliability team through hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Standardize and improve program structures to align with customer needs and organizational expectations.
  • Support execution of John Crane’s strategic initiatives and ensure regional reliability operations contribute to business goals.
  • Drive contract performance using KPIs and continuous improvement practices.
  • Promote a consultative sales mindset and identify opportunities for contract growth and value‑added services.
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development on new offerings and service line expansion.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational objectives.

*Location: Candidates must be based in or near one of the following locations to support regional coverage: Baton Rouge, LA; Houston, TX; Freeport, TX; Corpus Christi, TX; Port Arthur, TX; or Mobile, AL.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in plant process systems, equipment operation, or equipment design.
  • Proven leadership experience, managing direct reports and developing talent.
  • Strong multi‑project management skills with the ability to prioritize across initiatives.
  • Experience managing departmental budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Demonstrated success driving organizational change and measurable improvements.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a diverse, global organization preferred.
