The Consumer and Media View/Insights (CMV/I) Operations team are responsible for ongoing delivery of survey data to clients. The Nielsen Consumer survey provides a 360 degree view of the consumer, and provides valuable insights to our clients on what people are buying, watching and doing. 

Our Operations team, based in Bangalore, are seeking an enthusiastic, permanent new team member to join the hard working, collaborative team

Day to day, The Senior Data Operations Co-ordinator plays an important role in impacting what we provide to clients.  They will work closely with key stakeholders in the CMV & CMI survey process to ensure the data we provide is accurate and timely. 

Stakeholders include:

*Pacific Production & Fieldwork teams based in Australia & New Zealand: Responsible for the end-to-end data collection, production and resource management.

* Customer Success team based in Australia & New Zealand: Work closely with the Operations team to ensure consistency in data, supporting client requests & assisting meeting market needs. 

*Programming team: Managing the back end of the survey. Communicating and updating programmers on required changes and updates to our questionnaires.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Oversee the end-to-end primary data collection process, actively monitoring quotas & achievement rates (e.g., Age x Gender x Region) to ensure fieldwork aligns with established schedules and targets.
  • Execute Quality Control (QC) checks and technical analysis, including within agreed timeframes and in accordance with documented procedures.
  • Lead the technical scripting and programming of our surveys, ensuring all briefed requirements and logic requests are executed accurately. This includes implementing skip patterns, piping, and validation rules to preserve data integrity and ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Data Integrity Assurance: Maintain rigorous data quality standards throughout the survey lifecycle.
  • Vendor & Partner Collaboration: Manage external sample providers and vendors to facilitate seamless fieldwork operations.
  • Internal Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the Pacific teams to streamline survey workflows and ensure regional project alignment.
  • Conducting data audits and participating in Quality Control for all aspects of the fieldwork process.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting technical data queries, resolving logic contradictions, and assisting internal stakeholders with survey architecture issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data collection methodologies and lead the implementation of optimized operational workflows.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

 

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor degree; Majors in Statistics, Information Technology, Market research or related fields is preferred and at least 5 years experience in the relevant field 
  • Proficiency in Survey scripting or in programming languages is essential
  • A high level of attention to detail is essential for this role
  • Experience in Fieldwork Management, Project Management, Vendor management and liaising with internal stakeholders will be advantageous 
  • Experience in data analytics and or in the Market Research Industry will be an advantage
  • Understanding of Survey Platforms (Decipher, Forsta, Qualtrics) is preferred
  • An experience in handling tracking studies (ongoing surveys) is preferred
  • Applied knowledge of fieldwork methodologies, including Online Panels, Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI), and Social Media-based sampling is preferred
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English is required
  • Good organisational skills & the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Outside of the box, solution focused thinking
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, within a global company
