IND Staff Cloud Engineer - GCC008

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

  • Design and develop Java-based backend services using Spring Boot / Spring Framework
  • Build RESTful APIs and microservices following cloud-native best practices
  • Write clean, scalable, secure, and maintainable code

AWS Cloud Engineering

  • Develop and deploy applications on AWS using services such as:
    • EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB
    • Lambda, API Gateway
    • ECS / EKS
    • CloudWatch, CloudFormation
  • Implement high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance in cloud applications
  • Manage application configuration and secrets using AWS tools

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Integrate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline
  • Containerize applications using Docker
  • Deploy and orchestrate containers using Kubernetes or ECS
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation

Database & Messaging

  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
  • Implement asynchronous communication using Kafka, SQS, or SNS

Testing & Support

  • Write unit, integration, and automated tests
  • Support production releases, monitor performance, and resolve issues
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+)
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services
  • Experience with Microservices architecture
  • Proficiency in REST APIs, JSON, HTTP
  • Strong SQL knowledge and database design skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Reactive programming (WebFlux, RxJava)
  • Knowledge of serverless architecture
  • Experience with OAuth2, JWT, and application security
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • AWS Certification (Developer, Solutions Architect)
