About the Role
As a Contract Logistics Procurement Manager, you will act as a strategic business partner to Contract Logistics teams, driving sourcing initiatives and managing variable spend across the Saudi Arabia Area.
You will lead procurement activities across Cold Chain Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution (WnD), and play a key role in enabling scalable, cost-efficient, and compliant operations. This role reports to the Area Head of L&S Procurement (SAA - IMEA).
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Procurement Business Partner to Contract Logistics teams, serving as the Category Expert for Cold Chain and WnD
- Lead end-to-end sourcing projects to drive cost savings, innovation, and operational efficiency
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business growth plans
- Manage complex procurement projects (OPEX & CAPEX), including new site development
- Lead supplier negotiations and establish robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Drive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and performance governance at a strategic level
- Own and deliver the procurement pipeline in line with Maersk’s sourcing framework (Six Sourcing Steps)
- Implement contract management frameworks to ensure compliance and cost leadership
- Conduct market intelligence and supplier analysis, including collaboration with Industrial Real Estate teams
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives (Annual Priorities, Joint Cost Plans, etc.)
- Identify and implement digital procurement solutions to improve efficiency and processes
- Support regional collaboration across IMEA, contributing to broader cost optimization strategies
Who We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5+ years of procurement experience in Contract Logistics (Cold Chain, WnD, Supply Chain)
- Strong understanding of cost drivers and commercial dynamics, with P&L awareness
- Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional initiatives
- Demonstrated negotiation and stakeholder management skills across multiple seniority levels
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Strong communication skills with a confident executive presence
- Ability to influence without direct authority
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a strong advantage)
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or MBA
- Procurement / Negotiation Certificates
