Civil Project Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer with strong technical expertise in Civil 3D and AutoCAD, with a primary focus on site grading, storm water/drainage, and overall site design. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the planning and execution of civil site development projects for commercial, industrial, or municipal clients. Key Responsibilities: Design and produce construction drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D Perform site grading, layout, and stormwater management designs for various land development projects Develop storm drainage calculations, detention/retention systems, and erosion control plans Coordinate designs with clients, project managers, and regulatory agencies Prepare construction documents, specifications, and permitting packages Support project submittals and respond to agency review comments Conduct site visits as needed to assess conditions and verify design elements Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field 3+ years of experience in civil site development or land development engineering Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required Experience in site grading, storm water/drainage, and site layout design Familiarity with local and state regulatory permitting processes Strong communication and organizational skills EIT or PE license preferred but not required

Preferred Experience: Commercial, residential, or municipal site development projects Hydrology modeling software (e.g., Hydraflow, StormCAD, HEC-RAS) Knowledge of sustainable and low-impact site design practices
