Job description

JOB PURPOSE Development Management responsibilities for Real Estate projects Hands-on role in leading the creation of a new program that will identify and deliver the sale of D-Hold assets from Aldar Development to Aldar Investment. Negotiate and lead the execution of key commercial development agreements for real estate assets to be acquired by Aldar Investment for recurring income; as well as other development agreements executed with external stakeholders. Active involvement in managing the investment analysis, approvals (ICs / ExCo) and post-deal execution phase of D-Hold developments and special situation projects.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Role: Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams (including project teams and external consultants) in the delivery of complex development projects. Ability to maintain productive relationships between various leaders, departments, and partners across the public and private sectors, build trust by leveraging openness, diplomacy, and tact. Lead development management interface between Aldar Development, Aldar Investment and Aldar Group for all D-Hold related activities as well as other development projects. Formulate and manage the development strategy for delivering the sale of real estate projects Aldar Investment and 3rd parties. Prepare, manage and negotiate key development management agreements with regard to optimizing value for Aldar. Act as a conduit between internal and external stakeholders to establish a consistent engagement approach by implementing best practices across the entire development lifecycle of all projects. What you will do: Lead development management responsibilities for real estate projects Manage program governance processes and structures working in close collaboration with stakeholders. Negotiate and finalize transaction documents including Terms of Reference, SPAs, Development Management Agreements, Cooperative Agreements and other transaction documents that are conducive to achieving Aldar Development’s goals. Build influential and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders and ensure that necessary approvals are achieved in accordance with Aldar Development requirements. Work with the wider development team and internal stakeholders (Aldar Group, Aldar Investments and Aldar Projects) on transaction management through the successful closure including due diligence, investment analysis, developing SPAs and commercial input into the documentation. Lead role in managing the execution development agreements with external stakeholders and partner relationships post-transactions. Provide support on an Ad-Hoc basis for special projects to the Chief Development Officer and the wider Management Executive team

RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Min. 12 years of experience FIELD OF EXPERIENCE Strong existing knowledge of development management agreements and key commercial agreements Feasibility analysis including developing cashflows and investment analysis for Business Plans Knowledge and exposure of UAE / GCC real estate TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Development management skills Excellent numerical and analytical capabilities with acute attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and relationship skills to build long-term trusted relationships Proactive, motivated and adaptable to change Able to take responsibility for seeing tasks through to completion Highly ethical and collaborative team player Strong work ethic blended with sense of fun and enthusiasm to actively participate in a lively team dynamic QUALIFICATION Bachelor Degree finance, economics or business administration
