SAP Functional Analyst (PS, IM, AM)

Duration:  3 months

Downtown Houston

Provide Support for SAP Project Systems (PS), Investment Management (IM), and Fixed Asset Accounting (AM). Prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry is critical. This role will work with the business to understand requirements for tracking AFE budget, cost control and management reporting. Based on business requirements candidate will build or modify an IM structure to represent the business requirements and provide reporting for budget to actual control. Candidate should understand SAP ASAP methodology and be capable of documenting requirements and solutions. Must also provide end-user training when necessary. Knowledge of BW integration with SAP is helpful.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Build or modify Investment Management Hierarchies, Project Systems Hierarchies and WBS master data as needed. Budget against the Investment Management positions; Verify results and reports. Participate in the design and validation of reports as needed to meet business requirements for projects system and investment management. Document Design and Testing results. Provide information as necessary on SAP features and capabilities.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Understanding of the Project Systems and Investment Management modules. Knowledge of SAP reporting capabilities including Report Drill Down, ABAP Query, etc. Understanding of BW integration. Strong process and analytical skills. Talent for working with highly integrated software systems. Must be able to take the initiative and work independently as well as part of a team for multi-person development projects. Ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints. Advanced Microsoft Skills (Excel, Work, Access, and Project). Excellent communication, written and relationship-building skills. Ability to work well with others.

Five to seven years in accounting in oil and gas industry. Process experience in SAP with Project Systems, Asset Management, and Investment Management

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

BS Degree required:  Accounting preferred.
