Highlights:
Summary: The Radiology Technician Student, under the supervision of a Registered Technologist, shall be responsible to perform duties involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for detecting pathology. This individual will be tasked with producing quality, diagnostic images and provide anatomically correct views for the Radiologist. Additionally, the Student will be responsible to practice radiation safety and utilize departmental safety procedures. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education / Experience: High school graduate or equivalent required. Must be a student currently enrolled in a School of Radiologic Technology. License / Certification: BLS required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Must possess decision-making skills. • Good oral and written communication skills. • Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations. • Ability to work from broad directions and be self motivated. • Strong interpersonal skills. • The ability to communicate effectively with patients, guest, and hospital personnel. • The ability to show compassion and sensitivity for patient comfort. • The ability to maintain confidentiality.
