SEO and Web Design Internship

Position Summary: We are looking for a Web Design Intern self-starter who relishes a

challenge and is willing and able to help a rapidly growing small company in a creatively. We

are looking for an energetic intern who can work a flexible schedule of 10 hours a week who

enjoys the behind the scenes work of the spa& wellness industry. We are seeking new hospitality

clients in major markets. We are willing to work with any level college student in Web Design.

The internship is not compensated, however there are many opportunities to receive excellent

practical experience. The internship may be extended.

Responsibilities (not limited to):

§ Ensure that all websites and internet properties under your influence have been technically

optimized to attract and engage those visitors that closely match the agreed profile of the

target audience

§ Create the necessary technical architecture

§ Build systems and protocols internally that ensure all content is optimized across all platforms

and user experiences (websites, mobile, social, video, blogs, retail portals etc)

§ Help set, and work to, performance indicators for SEO that everyone understands and which

complement overall marketing and business objectives

§ Promote both offsite and onsite activities and also the interactions that build ranking, profile

and traffic

§ Assisting with creative, visual, web design and marketing initiatives and projects

Desired Experience:

§ Experience in HTML, HTML5, CSS, CMS, Java Script, Action Script, PHP, C#, Flash,

Dreamweaver, and Adobe CS5 a plus.

§ Coding experience/working knowledge of most common coding programs preferred.

§ Coding experience/working knowledge of content management systems like Wordpress,

Joomla, and/or Drupal.

§ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

§ Knowledge of Flash & HTML bonus but not required

§ Must have strong organization and writing skills.

§ Must have a proven ability to demonstrate patience, flexibility, energy, independence, quality

control procedures and self-motivation.

§ Currently enrolled at a college or university or a recent graduate
